Spatial Data Science and Spatial Economics Students Welcome

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The Spatial Sciences Institute welcomed the students who have started the M.S. in Spatial Data Science and M.S. in Spatial Economics and Data Analysis programs with tee-shirts especially designed for them to show their "spatial pride."

The Spatial Data Science and Spatial Economics and Data Analysis masters students are cordially invited to participate in a number of fall semester events presented by the Spatial Sciences Institute. Many have already enjoyed a welcome/welcome back party at the home of SSI Founding Director John Wilson, have gotten advice on their resumes at a resume workshop, and have learned about the dissertation plans of the first cohort of doctoral candidates in SSI's Population, Health and Place Ph.D. program. Upcoming are events such as the SSI Fall Colloquium on spatial humanities, the 2019 GIS Day celebration on November 12, and the USC v. UCLA Mapathon Challenge on November 13, 2019.

To learn more about SSI's Spatial Data Science program which is offered jointly with the USC Viterbi Department of Computer Science and the Spatial Economics and Data Analysis Program offered jointly with the USC Dornsife Department of Economics, please email Ken Watson, SSI academic programs director, at watsonke@usc.edu.
