SSI’s John Wilson leads the USC Urban Trees Initiative

The Spatial Sciences Institute is a partner in the USC Urban Trees Initiative with the City of Los Angeles to guide the growth of an urban forest of shade trees that benefit the health and quality of life for local communities.

SSI team members are undergraduate researchers Rachel Ablondi, Jackson FitzGerald, Erik Huisman, and Seher Randhawa, under the direction of SSI professor and founding director John P. Wilson and SSI GIS specialist Beau McDonald.
