Five USC GIST students presented at the 2014 Esri User Conference, running from July 14-18, in San Diego, CA. With a variety of workshops, speakers, and paper sessions, all from leading GIS innovators and professionals, the Esri User Conference is a valuable resource for learning and networking. USC's GIST students were given the opportunity to submit their papers and present them during moderated paper talks, with topics ranging from electric utilities to disaster and emergency management.

In addition to our students, five faculty from the Spatial Sciences Institute spoke at the Esri Education GIS Conference, held in San Diego, CA from July 12-15. Geared towards educators and educational institutions, the Education GIS Conference gave SSI a forum to discuss GIS innovations in the classroom. Faculty papers were presented at moderated paper sessions and lightning talks. See below for the full list of papers and authors.
