The role of “place” is an integral key to gaining a deeper understanding of any number of societal and economic issues. From crime statistics to housing prices to Starbucks locations, spatial awareness and understanding are critical. While collecting data can provide some insight, investigating the relationship between the data and location can help clarify and validate those findings.
Come hear Dr. Matthew Kahn, professor of economics and spatial sciences, discuss the intersection of these two disciplines and how the minor in Spatial Studies can leverage the impact of your Economics major.
