Dr. John P. Wilson, founding director of the USC Spatial Sciences Institute and project lead of the USC Urban Trees Initiative, discusses how to provide cooling as temperatures rise due to the effects of climate change, without contributing to global warming through high energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The USC Urban Trees Initiative is one approach that promotes sustainability, energy efficiency and social justice.

Dornsife Dialogues is a series of free virtual events that brings together leading scholars and distinguished alumni from the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences to share research findings and fresh perspectives on timely topics.
