Congratulations to USC Spatial’s Dr. Andrew Marx, Associate Professor of the Practice of Spatial Sciences, on his article Analysis of Panamanian DMSP/OLS nightlights corroborates suspicions of inaccurate fiscal data: A natural experiment examining the accuracy of GDP data now published in Remote Sensing Applications: Society and Environment.
Dr. Marx's research focus is on improving the uses of satellite imagery to inform domestic and international public policy. His research interests include the development of remote-sensing methods and techniques for time-series analysis of urban watershed/forestry management, conflict monitoring and urbanization.
In the Fall 2017 semester, he is teaching SSCI 580: Spatial Computing and SSCI 586: GIS Programming and Customization.
