2021 LA Geospatial Summit Call for Papers and Posters

Los Angeles Geospatial Summit

Friday, February 26, 2021

The 2021 Los Angeles Geospatial Summit is a virtual one-day event for geospatial professionals and students, alumni and faculty of GIS academic programs in the greater Los Angeles area to explore emerging trends in geospatial science, technology and applications.

Undergraduate and graduate students in GIS, geospatial technologies and related disciplines at Southern California institutions are cordially invited to present their papers and posters.

Three students will be selected to give five-minute lightning talks. Following the presentations, a panel of industry experts will engage with student presenters and virtual audience in an open discussion forum.

Students selected for poster presentations will discuss their work during a dedicated virtual poster session and competition. A committee of geospatial professionals will judge the posters. The award-winning posters will be announced during the Summit closing session.

This year's Geospatial Summit program will be presenting workshops and industry use cases for how companies across multiple sectors are employing geospatial professionals. Throughout the Summit, students have the opportunity to gain insights into GIS career pathways.
