Stacy J. Lettman received her Ph.D. in English from the University of Southern California. Her peer-reviewed journal publications include “The Dub Aesthetic and the Real: The Blurring of Literal and Symbolic Representations of Violence in Jamaican Dancehall Music” and “Journeys to (Un)dis/cover Silence: A Critique of the Word in Looking for Livingstone.” As a book chapter, her essay “Freeing the Colonized Tongue” was published in The Black and Green Atlantic: Cross-Currents of the African and Irish Diasporas.
