The Spatial Sciences Institute (SSI) has collaborated with the following organizations to offer virtual unpaid internships for Fall 2020 semester:
- USC Sea Grant Program.
- Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) Planning Division, Research and Analysis Department.
- Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning.
- Global TechnoPolitics Forum.
- Los Angeles District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Hydrology and GIS.
Applications are now open to USC undergraduate students of any major for internships. SCAG will consider graduate students as well. Applicants should note minimum and ideal background in geographic information science (GIS), either through coursework or by experience.
These internships my be undertaken for credit by undergraduates registering for SSCI 397: Spatial Sciences Internship or by masters students registering for SSCI 596: Internship in the Spatial Sciences.
