The University Consortium for Geographic Information Science (UCGIS) has recently launched a new effort to revise and augment the Geographic Information Science & Technology Body of Knowledge that was first published in 2006. This will be a multi-year effort intended to be forward-looking and inclusive, drawing contributors and participants from multiple countries, disciplines, and perspectives. To get started, UCGIS is convening a half-day workshop on May 20th, 2013. Additional details will be forthcoming in the coming weeks.
