Andy Rutkowski, USC Libraries Visualization Librarian, will be conducting two free workshops on QGIS for USC faculty, students (undergraduate and graduate), and staff.
WORKSHOPS
Part 1: Wednesday, April 7, 2021, 1 - 2:30 pm
This QGIS workshop will provide hands-on experience learning the basics of the QGIS desktop software. Using pre-selected data you will learn how to create basic maps, style them, add layers and generally get comfortable using the software.
You do not need to have any previous knowledge of QGIS for this workshop. The workshop will be approximately 1 hour. We will set aside 30 minutes for working with QGIS on your own and discussion/questions.
Part 2: Wednesday, April 14, 2021, 1 - 2:30 pm
This QGIS workshop focuses on some more advanced technique and analyses that are a part of the QGIS software.
The workshop will be approximately 1 hour. You'll have 30 minutes for working with QGIS on your own and discussion/questions.
For this workshop, we recommend that you either took or watched the video of the previous QGIS workshop. Check back for a link to the recording.
