Kate grew up in Michigan and Italy. She holds BA in biology specializing in ecology and evolution from the University of Chicago and an MS in environmental health sciences with a specialization in global health and environment from the University of California, Berkeley. She is excited to join the University of Southern California’s Population, Health, and Place doctoral program for the fall 2017.
Her research interests include worker health, environmental exposure, agricultural systems, and climate change. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, baking, ice hockey, community radio, and travel.
