Ze-Bao Zhang, Ph.D., is a Visiting Scholar of Spatial Sciences in the Spatial Sciences Institute, University of Southern California (USC). He is also a lecturer and researcher at Harbin Engineering University (HEU) in China. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2010, and M.S. in 2005. He has been to United Kingdom for further study in University of Strathclyde for a few months in 2011.

His general area of research is data management. The majority of it involves data mining, spatial database, spatial index. Zhang teaches Data Structure and Software Engineering. He has published many articles on data mining and spatial index in both journals and international meetings. He is involved with many projects worldwide and has received  awards in China. He is currently researching image processing at the Spatial Sciences Institute.
