Apply now for Fall ’20 internships

The Spatial Sciences Institute (SSI) has collaborated with the USC Sea Grant Program, the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) Planning Division, Research and Analysis Department, and the Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning for virtual unpaid internships in the Fall '20 semester.

Applications are now open to USC undergraduate students of any major for internships with all three organizations; SCAG also will consider masters students. Applicants should note minimum and ideal background in geographic information science (GIS), either through coursework or by experience.

Students who have been selected for an SSI funded faculty research project are not eligible for one of these internships.

These internships my be undertaken for credit by undergraduates registering for SSCI 397: Spatial Sciences Internship or by masters students registering for SSCI 596: Internship in the Spatial Sciences.
