The University of Southern California announces a new interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Population, Health and Place jointly offered by the Keck School of Medicine of USC Department of Preventive Medicine, the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences Department of Sociology, and the USC Dornsife Spatial Sciences Institute.
This program prepares scientists for careers in research, teaching, and applied work at the intersection of sociology (population), preventive medicine (health), and the spatial sciences (place). Students completing this program will be poised to work in the academic, public, private, and not-for-profit sectors to conduct research and create policies and programs needed to promote human well-being and environmental sustainability.
Applications are now open for admission to start Fall 2016. The application deadline is Tuesday, December 1, 2015. More information is available at https://spatial.usc.edu/index.php/doctoral-programs/ and by contacting Ken Watson, Spatial Sciences Institute student advisor, at watsonke@usc.edu or calling (213) 740-8298.
