The intersection between GIScience and community health has its origins in Dr. John Snow’s hand-drawn map of London in 1854 linking the outbreak of cholera to the Broad Street water pump.  Leaders in epidemiology and public health discusss how the capacities of today’s GISciences and technologies are accelerating innovations in disease prevention and the promotion of community health.

Learn about the difference in workflows using consumer grade receivers (such as tablets and smart phones) compared with mapping grade products (such as the GeoExplorer and Pathfinder Pro Receivers).
