The USC Spatial Sciences Institute is seeking an Office Manager to handle the office administration and events of its academic program and research enterprise. This position supports the Founding and Managing Directors of the Institute, its faculty, and students by coordinating and establishing and office support; overseeing facilities management; liaising with faculty affairs and other business offices; and leading multiple and concurrent major events management, such as the Institute’s annual conference, Commencement, and advancement and external events. This position hires and oversees multiple student workers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, writing and organizational skills; office management and staff supervision experience; professional demeanor; and event management experience. It is critical that candidate have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability and personality to work collaboratively with Institute faculty, students, staff, other University offices, and the external community. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s degree. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.

Minimum Experience:  3 years

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Administrative experience in a university setting. Event management experience.
