    Using geographic information science, powered by today’s computational capacity, we are reducing urban heat with trees, planning for livable regions, protecting fragile ecosystems and more.

    So much of our health is determined by where we live: the air we breathe, our access to health care and our ability to walk in our neighborhoods. We draw upon multi-disciplinary sciences of population, health and place to improve the quality of life in our communities, especially marginalized ones.

    Fostering Stable and Safe Communities

    Whether it’s preparing for emergencies, empowering first responders or supporting national security, we are preparing a workforce to be leaders in geospatial intelligence and global security applications.

    Designing Resilient Environments

    As leaders in geodesign, we use locational data with concepts from urban planning, architecture and landscape architecture to envision future scenarios, measure their impacts and empower decisionmakers to protect and enhance livability.

    Finding Answers in Big Data

    We extract knowledge from geospatial data combining artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning with geospatial infrastructures.
