GIST Student’s Geospatial Tools Guide Typhoon Relief

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

GIST student Jared Hyneman's job as GIS manager at World Vision, puts him in a position to make a difference quickly when disaster strikes.  Hyneman and the World Vision team developed and deployed a rapid assessment tool in ArcGIS online that was critical to allowing the charity to deploy its resources effectively following Typhoon Haiyan's landfall in the Philipines in November 2013. That work is now being profiled by Esri's ArcNews, both in print and online.
