The Spatial Sciences Institute celebrates USC GIS Day with two events:

Using Spatial Analysis to Maximize the Impact of a Multi-Benefit Project

Event 1: Trust for Public Land Presentation

Join Trust for Public Land’s Natalia Gaerlan, Diana Silva and Edna Robinas as they discuss applications of geospatial technologies for green infrastructure projects in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Event 2: Site visit to the Green Alleys Project
5318 South Main Street Los Angeles, CA 90037
12:30 -1:45 p.m.
Visit the Green Alleys project, part of the alley network with green infrastructure and storm water interventions and learn how GIS and other analyses were used to select this as the most appropriate for a South LA site.

The Green Alleys are accessible by public transit; if taking the DASH, please allow time for travel. We encourage you to drive or arrange to carpool with your classmates.
